Nashville based Trombonist Josh Scalf is a freelance musician with an extensive resume, and has performed and recorded with countless acts and bands across the United States, as well as throughout the Caribbean and Europe. He can often be found working as a member of the Hell Yeah! Horns.

As well as working as a freelance musician, Josh has a passion for education, having worked as the associate musical director at Bay High School in Panama City, Florida as well as teaching privately across middle Tennessee and performing clinics both on his own as well as with the Hell Yeah! Horns

In the past several years, Mr. Scalf has worked both live or on Television, and/or recorded with many musical groups, performers, shows, and personalities, some of the more notable being:

Andy Bell, Bobby Vinton, CamCeCe Winans, Cheyenne Jackson, Don Rickles, Jake Owen,  Keb' Mo'Montell Jordan, The Montgomery Symphony, Morgan James, Natalie Grant, The Nashville Jazz Orchestra, The Nashville SymphonyPatti LuPone, The Shadowboxers

Smokey Robinson, SmithfieldThomas Rhett, Victor Wooten, Zara Larsson, performed on The Dove Awards and CMT's Artists Of The Year, been seen on television shows 

such as: Good Morning AmericaJimmy Kimmel LiveThe Talk, and CMT Crossroadsand also performed as the trombonist in the first fully licensed Broadway musicals at sea: Hairspray and CHICAGO: The Musical, recorded on scores for major Hollywood motion pictures, and recording for various video game titles
